My Beatiful 26 Drive(s) Full: Deluxe is an expansive musical journey, celebrating each year of my life from 21 to now 26. Released annually, this project is a testament to the passage of time and the evolution of sound.

BoART UP CLOSE

BoART born Bokang Kama in the small kasi of Maglera, Klerksdorp.

Bokang started making music with friends in primary school 6th grade, beginning his journey of an artist as a Rapper. He got more serious about his music around high school but he quickly learnt he needs to record on original compositions to be taken seriously.

Post Matric, he could not attend Varsity due to financial constraints leading him to take a Gap year. This didn’t discourage him as he installed a cracked version of FL Studio on his mom’s laptop and “borrowed ” it whenever she wasn’t around.

He taught himself how to create instrumentals, respecting the power of musical influence He refused to learn from YouTube tutorials because he felt all tutorials focused on one sound at the time, being Trap Music.

Fast forward to 2017, in johannesburg at 21 years old, he puts out My Beatiful 21 consisting of 21 instrumentals, the first of a now 6 year series. This was BoART’s offering coming out as a Music Producer. A year later he found himself back in Maglera stuck at home. Again, this didn’t discourage him, deciding to pack his bags without telling his family and having just enough money to get him to the City of Gold.

During this period, BoART attended the 1st ever Beat Makers Market in JHB, an encounter that connected him with the creative minds behind his favorite artists' music. In 2019, he navigated through the competitive stages of the 2nd Beat Makers Market Beat Battle Competition, earning himself a coveted spot in the Finals.

By 2022, BoART's talent caught the attention of industry heavyweights. Selected from a pool of 800+ entries, he participated in "The Next Wave" initiative led by Patta, Mamakashaka, and Nike SHAPA Soweto. Here, he had the privilege of crafting music and receiving mentorship from the esteemed Ganja Beats, with invaluable insights from luminaries such as Caster Semenya, Mama Yvonne, and other prominent figures.

At this time he was confident in his sound, incorporating what he had just learnt to release My Beatiful 26. After receiving a great response from listeners and artists starting to “hit him up”, 2023, a year later after the release this project secured him a Distribution deal with the SlikourOnLife’s SolDistro team, which will be handling the release of My Beatiful 26, the Deluxe Edition in October of 2023, this also marks him as the first Producer to get signed by them. BoART's journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication and the unbreakable spirit that fuels his musical endeavors.
